Join the Bostonian Alumnae Club in supporting local philanthropic endeavors! Our annual volunteer efforts extend to various local organizations, particularly those dedicated to literacy. A current focus involves partnering with the Elizabeth Peabody House (EPH) in Somerville. Established in 1896, EPH stands as one of Boston's pioneering settlement houses, offering diverse programs for low-income and immigrant families. Notably, our previous success in securing an FD500 grant resulted in a $2,000 book donation to bolster literacy programs at EPH's preschool and after-school activities. This accomplishment has inspired our current endeavor: aiding EPH in establishing a lending library by curating their book collection and crafting an inviting reading space for children. Beyond EPH, our volunteer engagements extend to organizations like Prison Book, The Greater Boston Food Bank, More Than Words, and Cradles to Crayons. Volunteering with the Boston Alumnae Club promises enjoyable experiences, opportunities for sisterly connections, and meaningful contributions to our community.
